INDIA – known for its agriculture as well as for the nations affluent culture and heritage. So if you guys are planning a heritage tour in India The Golden Triangle Tour is a must in your checklist. Indian’s Golden Triangle covering the country capital which also happens to be the starting and ending point of the tour Delhi, the home town of  the world’s eighth wonder Agra and the pink city Jaipur. The whole route needs 5 to 6 days to cover. The distance is about 100kms. One can cover the triangle by road which requires about 4 to 5 hours of drive to each city or there r various options on rail also. This trip is very popular among the foreign tourists also and every year hundreds of tourists visit these cities.

When talking of Golden Triangle we have the country Delhi at first. This one makes the northern corner of the triangle. History says that this was the capital of the Pandavas in Mahabharata, Indraprastha. Not only the country’s political center the city has some fascinating heritage site. The Jam Masjid, Jantar- Mantar, Laxmi  Narayan Temple, Kutub Minar, The India Gate, Bahai Temple, Humayun’s Tomb,  The Lotus Temple, Akshardham  are only to name a few.  And not to forget it is the hometown of The Red Fort. Founded by Emperor Shah Jahan the fort  is located at the centre of Delhi and was the the residence of Mughal Emperor for more than 100 years.  The city is roughly divided into two sections – the Old Delhi and the New Delhi. What will amaze you the most is the perfect blend of old world charm in places like Chandni Chowk and striking malls, high rise towards it’s south. And man you get some awesome  delicious foods there!

Next we come to the city which covers the eastern corner of the Delhi – Agra – Rajasthan tour. The city s situated on the banks of the holy river Yamuna, northern part of Uttar Pradesh was founded by Sultan Sikhandar Lodi. Although known for the legendary Taj Mahal, city has many notable heritage site like the Agra Fort founded by Akbar, Fatehpur Sikri, Akbar’s Tomb, Jama Masjid, etc. The Taj Mahal  lies to the southern bank of Yamuna it is a masterpiece created by on earth.. Emperor Shah made this beauty in the memory of his favorite wife Mumtaz Mahal. It took 22 years to built the Taj. Agra is often referred to as the “city of taj”

Lastly it is time for the pink city and the capital of Rajasthan- Jaipur. Commissioned by Maharaja Sawai Jai Sing II of Amer  in 1727. This city is known for its beautiful gardens, splendid monuments and grand royal hotels. It is the first well – planned city of India. the city has a very traditional touch to it and the roads literally speaks royalty. The Hawa Mahal,  Jantar – Mantar, Amber Fort are few of the attractions of the city. and yes don not miss the camel ride and Dal Baati Churma !
